Where is Cabo San Lucas?
Los Cabos is located at the tip of the Baja California Peninsula where
the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez.
How far is Cabo from the airport?
Cabo San Lucas is approximately a 45-minute drive from the San Jose (Los
Cabos) International Airport.
Where is the Pedregal?
The Pedregal is a private gated community situated on the hillsides to
the south and southwest of Cabo San Lucas proper from homesites overlooking
the town/marina and the Sea of Cortez or overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Where do we get groceries?
There are numerous small "tiendas" or small stores throughout Cabo with
the Aramburo supermarket being the largest and most completely stocked
including many U.S. products. It is located across from the Hard Rock
Cafe in the center of town.
How is the weather?
Los Cabos is considered part tropical desert and part tropical semi-arid.
From October to May, the temperatures range from highs in the 80s to lows
in the upper 50s. From June to September the highs can reach the 100s
with lows to the low 70s. Tropical storms are possible from late July
to early October.
Can we walk to town or the beach?
This depends on the particular location of your villa. Some residences
are within walking distances to town and some are very close to the Pacific
beach. None of our properties is farther than a short drive from either
of the two.
Do we need to rent a car?
Again, this depends on the location of your villa and your personal plans.
In general, we do recommend that you rent a car for the convenience of
shopping, travel to and from the airport, and for sightseeing and day
trips to the nearby beaches and towns.
Can we drink the water?
All of our villas have UV water filtration systems, however, we recommend
drinking only bottled water in town.
Can I pay with dollars or do I need to exchange money?
Yes. U.S. dollars are freely traded throughout Los Cabos. Your best rate
of exchange is at any of the many banks around and many have ATM machines.
What documentation do I need to travel to Mexico?
U.S. citizens are required to have a valid passport or an original or
certified copy of their birth certificate and a picture ID.
